Non-Profit Upgrades Conferencing, Wireless Internet and Phone System to Cloud
A Fort Worth based charity has made educational funding and medical research its mission since 1991.
Funding the Future with Network Upgrades
The foundation started remodeling at its Fort Worth headquarters in 2018 and needed an upgrade to network infrastructure.
c2mtech was called to rework cabling for faster/more reliable internet and voice communications. Wiring buildouts included Category 5e, 6, Coax and HDMI cabling.
For extra mobility, c2mtech installed and configured Cloud Wi-Fi from Ruckus Wireless. Ruckus is known for delivering reliable connections, even in dead zones and large high-rise office buildings. It also includes many network configurations. For the client, a separate guest network was needed for security. The entire system is further protected from cyber threats via a firewall.
Next, c2mtech went to work on conference and board rooms, adding two large flat-screen Samsung TVs. In one room, c2mtech added a Barco CSE-200 wireless presentation system. This system allows up to two people to share content simultaneously. In another room, c2mtech added the Barco ClickShare CS-100, a standalone device that lets one person at a time share content from their laptop, tablet or phone.
Transition to Mitel for VoIP Communication
With a better internet and voice network at the office, the client was ready tomigrate from a digital PRI system to the cloud. Ultimately, 25 MiVoice phones were installed which included a desk phone, softphone and mobile app capabilities. However, one of the biggest selling points for Mitel was the ability for each employee to have their own personal conference bridge.
The Charitable Foundation now has the network infrastructure and phone system to support a modern workforce. The foundation can continue its valuable mission and charity.
